ABYSO & BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY READY FOR ITS PRESENTATION OF

“A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES”

JOHN’S, ANTIGUA (Wednesday 29th June 2022) – The Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra and Boise State University. Idaho are now putting the finishing touches on – A Night at the Movies – an event that promises to excite young and old, showcasing music from popular movies to include The Lion King, Harry Potter, Despicable Me, The Avengers, Pirates of the Caribbean and much more.

The team of musicians led by Dr. Zach Buie, Assistant Professor of trumpet at Boise State University, arrived on Antigua on Sunday the 26th of June, and have immediately begun practice sessions with students of the ABYSO in preparation for the upcoming event.

The event, A Night at the Movies, will be held on Sunday 3rd July at 6:00pm at Lucky Eddi’s in English Harbour.  Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at The Larder, CrabHole Liquors, Woods Pharmacy or any ABYSO member.

Dr. Zach Buie, is delighted to be on Antigua for the 3rd time, engaging with students of the ABYSO. He remarked that “I am delighted to again be able to journey to Antigua to support the continued development of the Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra. The upcoming concert – A Night at the Movies – promises to be an exceptional one. Simply put, there will be a lot of energy in the music, and you must come out to experience it. I am even more delighted to have with me four of my university students who will also be working alongside the students this week as we lead up to the concert, they are Kate Nettles, Natalie Henson, Logan Dominguez, and Kam JaCoby.”

A special invitation is extended to everyone to come out and support the students of the ABYSO and the students of Boise State University, 3rd July 6:00pm at Lucky Eddi’s.
