US-based instrument repair technician Andy Frobig is in Antigua as a guest of the ABYSO to conduct brass and woodwind repair and maintenance training sessions. Andy will commence training of an ABYSO nominee as well as nominated trainees from the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Band and the Royal Police Force Band.
The ABYSO will continue to facilitate training in this area as part of its long-term vision to establish a fully functioning instrument repair shop to service all orchestral instruments. This will be the first of its kind in Antigua and Barbuda and will greatly support the viability of music programmes on the Island.
Andy was recommended by MusAid, one of the key international partners of the ABYSO.
